About
I'm passionate about empowering graduate students to overcome their writing challenges and successfully complete their writing. With a strong background in Applied Science and first-hand experience as a PhD student with ADHD, I understand the unique struggles faced by students with diverse needs.
My journey began when I faced numerous obstacles while completing my own PhD thesis. Despite having ADHD, I persevered and successfully published my doctoral research. This experience fuelled my desire to help others in similar situations.
I work with students in all stages of their writing; research proposals, conference and journal paper submissions, poster presentations, Masters thesis and PhD dissertations in all stages of their development. I address about argumentation, structure, grammar, expression, format, and flow. I work with students who need help making editorial and formatting decisions, and if needed, demonstrate how specific applications (such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator) can be used for such purpose. I also address information design and infoaesthetics and accessibility concerns.
I've worked with students from various backgrounds, addressing challenges such as writer's block, grammar issues, and effectively communicating complex ideas in English for non-native speakers. I believe that every student has the potential to excel in their academic journey, regardless of their personal circumstances.
As a mentor and writing coach, I specialize in providing tailored support for students with ADHD, helping them navigate their unique challenges and develop effective strategies for completing their theses. I also aim to educate supervisors on latent ableism and create a supportive environment for students to thrive.
By working together, we can unlock your potential and pave the way for a successful academic journey. Let's transform your writing struggles into success stories.
